An elegant Bedroom/Sitting Room - “The Equestrian Suite” and “The Chanel Suite”

Join us for the creation of an elegant Bedroom/Sitting Room. Each student will have the option to create this room setting with either masculine or feminine finishes supplied by Whitledge-Burgess.

The Equestrian Suite

The Equestrian Suite 1   The Equestrian Suite 2

The right side of this roombox is a sunken sitting room featuring hardwood flooring, faux painted recessed paneling, fireplace, coffered ceiling, and two full height bookcases that create a niche perfect for a recessed secretary. There’s also an open doorway revealing a glimpse of a hallway.

The left side of this roombox is the bedroom area featuring room enough for a queen size bed. Finished with carpeting and wallpaper, it also has an exterior window overlooking the garden.

During the first two days, students will be instructed in the techniques required to complete all of the architectural aspects of this interior. The third day will be devoted to electrification and finishing. The fourth day will be a rare opportunity to create and install pleated drapery panels with valance for the bedroom window. The entire setting will be installed in an unfinished box, allowing each student to customize their own exterior and frame.

As with all of our workshops, all materials will be provided to create the room as photographed. Items not included: chandelier, wall sconces, furniture, and accessories.
